Alessandro Perego is a Professor of Logistics Management, he has more than 20 years of experience in the analysis and assessment of digital technologies. He is one of the founders and the current Scientific Director of the Digital Innovation Observatories of POLIMI leading a group of about 100 researchers. Currently, Alessandro Perego is also the Head of the DIG Department and member of POLIMI Senate. Founder and Board Member of “Banco Alimentare” Foundation. Member of the Board of Directors of MIP Graduate Business School. Scientific Director of the loT (Internet of Things) Lab.
His primary research fields are ICT for logistics, operations and supply chain management, Design and management of logistics systems / supply chain of goods and services, Modeling processes and production / logistics systems, analysis and assessment of digital technologies, including - but not limited to - Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics and Blockchain, Food Supply Chain Management with focus on Surplus Food Reduction and Redistribution.
